I found the staff extremely attentive and honest,I was very pleased as even the bank manager helped me switch my accounts over from the halifax,which actually saved me alot of money. Nothing seemed to be an issue and they genuinely seemed to care.

Updated. Still great staff but the size of the bank limits the services available. I am not hugely happy with how their mortgage process is managed and would have looked elsewhere if I had the chance again.

Found the staff here to be really friendly and helpful despite not having a bank account with them.

HSBC is a great bank who is one of the first to be part of scemes such as Apple and Android pay. The card is really modern and stylish compared to most other banks.

I had Lee round before my extension was built to give me some advice. I used him for the build itself I contacted several builders and only 2 got back to me. Lee's service was efficient and I received his quote within a week. The other builder took 4 weeks. Lee instilled confidence in me and really knew his stuff. He took the time to explain things that I did not understand. I had a rear single storey built and a porch to the front. I then got Lee to remodel my kitchen and my ensuite bathroom. Both jobs look fabulous. All the workers were great, really helpful and polite. The work was reasonably priced and I am so happy with the result. I'm going to get Lee back to do a patio and driveway next springtime. Would and have recommended to people I know.

LJB have built a kitchen and hall extension for me as well as full window fit. They provide a professional service which is cost efficient with friendly polite staff. No pressure selling and happy to tailor work to your exact requirements. Will definitely be using them again!

GC Building & Preservation Ltd have done several renovations to my house & have done an excellent job on both occasions. Grant Worman is like a 'whirlwind' but brings action and precision to the job not disaster. He makes sure the job is completed on time & to cost & after care service is also great any snags are dealt with promptly. We purchased our property in 2013 and it needed extensive refurbishment. Being new to the town we approached the estate agent who acted for the seller of the property for a recommendation to a local builder. We were recommended GC Building & Preservation Ltd. and we have been absolutely delighted with the level of workmanship, reliability and courtesy extended to us. Grant Worman, one of the partners is like a whirlwind around his building sites as he marshals all the different trades into place at the right time and ensures the highest level of workmanship. We did obtain quotes from two other builders at the initial stages but felt more comfortable with Grant who we immediately found was on our side in keeping costs to the minimum without compromising the end result we were seeking.

CRB have just finished a 6 month extension project for us and I can’t recommend them highly enough. They came recommended by two separate people, and we have since passed on their details them to anyone who’s even thinking about needing builders, roofers, etc. Throughout our long and not uncomplicated build they were professional, friendly and thorough. When unforeseen problems cropped up (a disused well discovered beneath the house footing, for example), time and time again these were met with intelligent, inventive solutions that kept an eye on the budget. Even the process of putting together the quote was head and shoulders above the other contractors we approached. All in all a cast iron five-star thumbs-up from me and my family.

Good clean van. Would have appreciated being given some instruction around how to unlock the rear doors. After taking the van back it was clear this was a learning curve for all of us. I would recommend. The staff were friendly, the van was clean and did the job and at a good price.

We've used Choice for years, both for business and private hire. You can't fault them really, as the prices are reasonable and the vehicles are smart. If you hire are car then their fleet is pretty new, they also have new Skoda Citygo. For vans, you may get a fairly old Transit but for the money I've always seen it as good value.

Always warm friendly and welcoming and cheap car hire compared to other hire company in Eastbourne with Apex you get new cars and cheaper to hire

Enterprise was recently responsible for replacing my car with a courtesy car following an accident. Throughout this process they have been the one company which has delivered consistent, outstanding service and are a genuine pleasure to deal with. Claudia in particular was very helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my questions when I first picked up the car and offering a refreshing smile when I dropped it off.

Bought a car that had several issues on it. 3 garages told me the supercharger needed replacing and one place quoted me 2k for this work alone! Went to PR Autos instead and they were nice and genuine - they figured it was a bracket issue and supercharger was fine! They saved me so much money and I'm so happy with their work. Not only did they save me thousands, they got the work done before they had to. Will definitely recommend and I've found my new garage. Cheers guys!

I used these guys last month for a fault with my fiesta. Rang them at 17:10 on a Friday and they called back 10 minutes later with a full breakdown for the repairs. Got a courtesy call following Tuesday and car went in on the Wednesday. Price I paid was as quoted and I've had no issues since. Will be using again and would recommend as great service.

Other places gave me quotes ranging from 260£ to 360£ for front pad and disc replacement but Qcr quoted me £200 which was so much better. The service is 10/10 dropped my car off at 11 and they got it back to me at 3 exactly. I would highly recommend them to everyone!

This is the 2nd year I've gone to QCR and rate them highly. The previous garage I was using had rubbish customer service, so I'm super glad I found this gem of a garage. Its a reliable and trustworthy independent garage, so don't expect bells and whistles, what you see is what you get. Labour and parts was reasonable too. Ignore previous reviews, everyone I know who has used these guys thinks they're great and and would recommend them hands down. My only hesitation is that if I leave this review and they get super busy that they won't be able to fit me in if I need them. ;)

My Ford Ecosport ( 3 yrs old ) is currently in their garage with airbag light on. It came on for no reason and has intermittently continued to do so. Last Wed I took the car in for a 'quick' code read whilst the light was on. It showed a fault so was booked in today for further investigation. In the last 4 hours I have been called by the mechanic twice, sorry cant remember his name ! First call was to ask me details of the fault , conditions when the light came on etc... second call was to be told they know which circuit the fault is on and its either a sensor or wiring fault. The sensor will be replaced tomorrow and we then see what happens. It may or may not fix fault. This is exactly what should be happening and i'm very happy with the service so far. Fault finding can be a nightmare , I know, i'm a mechanic too. My husband is also Ford trained. The reason we haven't fixed the fault is because I bought an extended warranty . From the young lady on the service counter, to the mechanic......even Dom who sold us the car , they have all been polite and professional . The only drawback was my lift home....... I experienced the Ecosport ST !!! Wow.....that's my next one !

I took my car to DB Auto Repairs after my Nissan GTR had been damaged in an accident. Hastings Insurance, who were also excellent, said I could choose any body shop and Nissan Motorline recommended DB Auto as the closest facility who they trusted to do a good job. I contacted the garage and spoke to Tish who looked after me from that moment until the car was returned in perfect order. I could not have been more pleased with the service and the standard of the work provided. I would wholeheartedly recommend the team at DB Auto Repairs who were friendly, professional and, it seemed to me, very reasonable.

Reliable, friendly, well connected in his trade community and frankly got me out of trouble.. he stuck at a job that all the other smiths said couldn’t be done for weeks because of blah blah. Steve didn’t give me any of that, he got it done and worked really hard in less than perfect conditions on the seafront. He was more affordable than the others also.

Cheap, with good discounts if you're an EF student. Huge cup of coffes. Dirty toilet and old chairs.

Lately coffee quality is not that great as it used to be. Customer service also not great: staff forget things from your order quite often and you have to ask them to clear your table. They bring your order and squeeze things among other empty mugs and bottles. It's a shame as I was rating them as one of the best coffee shops in town but lately it seems they are focusing more on their otber branch.

Probably my favourite coffee shop in Eastbourne! Coffee is worlds above your average Costa and the cakes and treats are lovely and fresh. The decor is contemporary and it's an all around amazing coffee shop.

My first visit, they forgot my coffee, then gave me a free card for another, impressed. Coffee is very good. Food is good quality, as are the cakes, although quite pricy, but you pay for quality, not usually this.much though. Nice space, lots of tables and gets very busy at lunch time. One of the better coffee places around town.

The owner of Doves Domestic is fantastic. We have a Leisure Rangemaster 55 auto gas cooker which is 25 years old and live in Stone Cross. It failed yesterday and I telephoned him this morning. Explained the problem, and a 14:00 hrs this afternoon he arrived with a replacement part - fitted and tested withing 30 minutes !!!. Roger Stevens

Colin was the best instructor I could have asked for he was excellent at explaining everything in a simple to understand way complete with his folder of images and whiteboard diagrams for visual learners. He was constantly giving me feedback on how I could improve and very observant of my driving technique. He adapted the lessons to fit my learning speed so I never felt like I was slowly progressing through a set structure. He’s a friendly and easy to talk to person so I always felt at ease in my lessons and they were certainly never boring. We had many laughs and he helped me through my moments of doubt and tears in the final run up to my test complete with tissues at the ready. Doubt I should never have had because I passed first time with only four minors! He’s even a qualified scuba diving instructor if you need one! There’s nothing this man can’t teach and I can’t recommend Colin enough. I have already started suggesting him to my friends and will carry on to do so.

Saved my life! My old instructor bailed a week before my test so I found Colin. We had 6 hours driving before my test (Since I didn't drive for two months before that) and I passed!!! He is an absolute life saver and I will definitely recommend him if you are looking for an instructor. Sadly, I can't put 10000/5.

Sean provided us with an excellent Shisha hire service for our wedding reception in May 2018. He was a pleasure to work with in the organising process, very helpful speaking to the venue directly for the logistics of set up and then was great fun to have at the wedding! The guests all LOVED the shisha's available to them and the variety of different flavours. It was a big hit with everyone and I would not hesitate to book Sean again for a party of event. My husband is already thinking ahead for his 30th Birthday!

From the moment we walked through the door, we knew that Payne & Sons were the perfect company to look after our dear Dad. Lee made us feel at ease straight away and settled us down with a lovely cup of tea (made by Eddie) whilst we discussed the arrangements. We didn’t realise they had a separate room for holding the service, which we wanted to be personal as Dad didn’t want it to be in a church and we thought the crematorium would be too quick and not the place to hold a Celebration of his life. As soon as they showed us the room it felt perfect. They introduced us to a celebrant called Martin who came to our home to find out about the kind of person our Dad was and he helped us decide how the service should be. My sister and I were allowed to go into the Hall the day before the service to give it our personal touch. Nothing was too much for them. On the day it worked like clock work , all the staff we very professional and very efficient. Being able to have access to a projector we were able to tell everyone with our carefully chosen pictures and music our Dads life, it was exactly how we had pictured it. The online tribute page was also a fabulous idea, where friends and family could leave messages about Dad and also donate to his favourite charities, they have thought of everything. We cannot express our thanks enough to the wonderful team and would recommend their services to anyone who has the unfortunate task of having to say goodbye to a loved one. Haine & Son provided a sensitive, organised and efficient service at this difficult time for us. They were courteous and insightful of our need. Whilst they provided expertise and guidance built from years of experience, they still allowed us to feel in control of what was happening. Recommended highly.

Haines are so professional and compassionate. The lovely Paul Martin has now organised 3 funerals for us over the last 10 years and each time he has been wonderful. He is particularly good with my children including them in the service of their Grandad and has advised well and supported us all as a family. He is caring and respectful. The other funeral directors and receptionist have always been lovely too.

Archery Gardening was really accommodating and patient with my Mum, even though she took 3 months to book the job after receiving a very prompt estimate. They fitted her in at very short notice and worked around the fact that they would have to access the garden via a ladder. The job was carried out while we were at work and we came home to find the bramble jungle had disappeared and the tree which had been taking over the whole garden and doing damage to the house and garden wall, was gone! The whole space was left immaculate and we couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Archery Gardening to anyone who needs a fast and professional job done!

Archery gardening are an attentive firm of workers. Their attention to detail is brilliant, the work they carried out for us has made our garden look so presentable for the summer. They have also done a fantastic job of our block paving on the front of our drive. Billy actually turns up to give us a quote and keeps a close eye on whats being done. Keep up the good work.

Neil who built my website was amazing, he listened to everything I wanted, advised me on some key points and then built a fantastic bespoke website that I'm really really happy with. I've been up and running for a while now but if I have any questions or need any changes they are quick to reply and always provide an excellent service. The prices are incredibly competitive for such a brilliant service I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to everyone.

Whilst I had to go shorter still, the cut was amazing and made me go back for a colour as well. I am devoted to Debbie and how she listens to what I want, how I wear my hair, and my lifestyle. She won't let me do anything impulsive, but went to great lengths to help me find the best way of having red streaks without damaging my hair. I love the atmosphere, the coffee & they have even set up a workstation at the front which is great for busy people like me! I take my laptop & can work while my colour 'cooks'. Effie, our Boston Terrier had a great time at wonderful woofs. Scamp and Tyco, the resident dogs, made her feel very welcome. There were plenty of walks and we felt as though she was in very safe a capable hands whilst we were away. We can highly recommend Wonderful Woofs

This is my favourite local library even though it's not my closest. It's small enough to not be overwhelming but always has a good range of children's books. The staff are super-friendly & helpful & there is parking close by.

In response to Mrs Miguels post, people are still served up until closing time and very often afterwards although the staff are not paid overtime for this. There are notices around the computers explaining they shut down 15 minutes before closing and there is also a warning on the terminals telling you the session will soon be ending. The 15 minute rule is to give people time to pack up prior to closing. Re the cost of printing: some libraries are funded and can therefore afford to charge less - in addition the poorer the area the cheaper it is and some make charges where our libraries do not. Libraries need to make a little profit to survive! I think our libraries are a valuable asset to our communities, the staff are fantastic and we shouldn't grumble about paying 20p...it's cheaper than buying and maintaining a printer at home. 😚

I am a tourist visiting from Australia and urgently needed to scan documents overseas. A staff member on the reception of Eastbourne Library was extremely helpful and I can’t thank her enough. She made a very stressful situation bearable.

Staff are fantastic always polite and helpful. From the guy on the gate to the staff on site ready to help you with heavy loads and assist you. The site is kept clean and tidy and staff are constantly clearing up. The shop is great selling stuff at really reasonable prices.

Courteous, helpful and I don't see then sitting down or drinking tea. Strung out line of skips but they can't help that. They do a good job IMO

A marvellous shops that stocks a wide variety of hardware goods. With wide aisles this is an easy access store. With helpful staff who are happy to check stock on anything that might appear out of stock on the shop floor. Found tucked away behind shades a handy little town centre shop.

Good size store with a great range of electrical goods for the home, plus so much more, that also offers some really exception low priced items with friendly staff.

We cannot rate Gosdens highly enough. Our recent experience moving house was made so much easier by their professional expertise from start to finish. Every item was carefully wrapped, boxes clearly labelled with their contents, furniture dismantled and reassembled quickly and efficiently. Throughout the 4 days of packing, transporting and unloading the entire team remained cheerful and upbeat. I would recommend them unequivocally.

First time using Gosden removals and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them! The guys were so helpful and made it such a smooth process. And a special mention to Sam, was always communicating with us and made sure everything was done with minimal fuss.

We used mark’s umove service to move from eastbourne to Weymouth. We had a fun time driving there and back, Mark was hilarious! Reasonable price and professional.

Used this Chinese for 10 years, food is lovely. Tried many others and this is the nicest. If you like chicken satay or crispy shredded beef this is the place to be. Can't say the same for the chicken chow mein today tho not quite sure what the chicken was meant to be, was gooey and gross although usually no problem. Portions are small and it's quite expensive for what you get but I do think most the food is worth the money. No prawn crackers which is always a bummer

We have just moved to the area and this was the first Indian restaurant we tried on Tuesday. We ordered for the children, chicken Korma and chips- this was a complete let down; the sauce was so salty and not sweet as it should be, we phoned up and they said the chef had put the amount of salt in instead of sugar. We also had spicy hash browns which was just like mashed potato in breadcrumbs, I sent this back with the driver who delivered the replacement of korma but didn't hear anything back. It was too late for the children to eat, they had the cold chips

Top food Eat here every week. Very helpfull guy that owns the place if your not sure what to order or fancy a change from normal just ask. I had the Tamasha chicken last week on recommendation from him and is now my favourite. The meal deal for 2 is fantastic value. I’ve had friends round for dinner and their now hooked on tasty bits too.

Fantastic service. Able to come out with only a day's notice to hang a 55" TV on our kitchen wall and we were really happy with the end result. All cables plus Sky box hidden away so very neat finish. Even took the time to wire up the Sky box and programme the Sky remote to the TV. Got other quotes and was a very competitive price too. Great care and really helpful advise. My pets have had various treatments and small operations and always been well looked after. Good value pet plan which helps keep the cost of care ans food lower. Text alerts help you keep on top of tick and flea treatments. I would have given this vets 5 stars but I have ordered food numerous times and it has always been wrong and needed amending. Something wrong with the ordering process.
